Connection Time Out Issues on 2.4Ghz band

New Around Here
I am having issues with connecting to the 2.4GHz band. It seems to only occur with devices that have connected to the 5.0Ghz band previously. I'm able to connect but only after a few tries.

My Xbox connects fine with no issue, as do a few other devices with wireless g or 2.4GHz clients.

I'm using 3.0.0.4.354 firmware with these settings on 2.4GHz

Auto
20
WPA2-Personal

Would using the same key for both bands cause an issue like this?

Do both bands have the same SSID, some electronics are 'fussy' about changing and want to stick with the same band they were previously on if they have the same SSID.

They have similar SSID's, but not the same.

"SSIDX"

"SSIDX_5G"

The 2.4GHz band does have the same SSID as it did when I was using my older 802.11g router. Could that be the issue?

The devices could have the connect information for the previous devices cached for that broadcast name and they might be trying to connect to a network of the name name using those previous cached information settings...so either find a way to flush the stored wireless connection information on those devices or as recommended already... simply try changing the SSID to a different one. Your 2.4Ghz wireless settings look good for device compatibility. Also, in your router settings try using using the least crowded "fixed channel" for 2.4Ghz.
