Convert Mesh Node to AP

Have an AC86U connected by ethernet setup as a mesh node to my primary router.
Long story short, I have a need to redo the node as an AP. Will keep the same SSID. What is the easiest, least disruptive way of doing this?

Remove the node from main router's AiMesh page (click on it, Management, Remove Node), set it up in AP Mode, reconnect and configure the way you want. You don't have to touch any of the other settings on your main router.
