Cox GigaBlast Internet & TP-Link Archer C2600

Hello All,

I'm new here, pretty new to networking, no expert by any means, so hoping you all here can help me out with my issues regarding my new Gigablast Cox internet and this TPLink Archer C2600 router.

Are there anything in the settings of this router that would keep me from getting a full Gigbit Internet speed? I just had Cox install their new Gigblast Internet service and I'm only getting about 500Mbps up and down, which is about half of what I should be getting with the Gigablast service. I called their support and they show me getting good speeds on their end. The fiber cable runs directly to my modem in the house. So now I'm wondering if my router is the issue. From this TP-Link Archer C2600 the signal goes over an ethernet cable into my office and directly into my computer. I should be getting enough bandwidth to get these speeds right? My xbox is also directly connected and its only getting 202 down and 491 up...not sure the Xbox One can get 1Gb speeds or not, but I'm just trying to make sure I get what I'm paying for. So wondering if there are some deeper settings in my wireless router that may be slowing me down?

Update: I had been testing the speed tests on a 2008 MacPro, so its a little older than the 2014 MacBook Pro I have. The MacBook Pro when wired into the network got better speeds, 800, 900 even over a 1000 at one time, for down loads, a better number. So I guess something with this MacPro from 2008 that I've been testing on might be slowing it down? Would my 2008 MacPro hardware be causing the nearly 300-400Mbps slow down from the newer 2014 MacBook Pro?

Also my Xbox One which is hard wired to the router is also not getting speeds I expected and have seen online with other people who have the gigabit internet setup. The setup looks good, NAT is open etc, and the download speeds are 155 and upload are 600, so something still seem weird.

It should be more consistent, what is going wrong?

Did the speed test from this site and here were my results, pretty weird...why would my upload be so much better than the download? Cox has been out here twice and can't seem to find any issues.
