D-Link announced the availability of two new HD Wi-Fi cameras, , for DIYers interested in building out their own home monitoring systems.

The DCS-936L and DCS-5030L have plenty in common, including wide angle views, night vision, motion and sound detection, local recording, 720p video, 4x digital zoom, and remote surveillance capability via D-Link’s mydlink Lite app. Both cameras also have responsive recording and notification that goes into action when a movement or sound is detected in the cameras’ vicinity.

For differences, the DCS-5030L is a pan & tilt camera that can pan 340 degrees horizontal and tilt 110 degrees vertical, covering wide areas in a home. The DCS-936L is a stationary camera that includes a Wi-Fi signal locater helping installers find the optimal camera placement for getting a better Wi-Fi signal.

Available now, both D-Link’s DCS-936L HD Wi-Fi Camera and the DCS-5030L HD Pan and Tilt Wi-Fi camera are priced at $79.99 and $139.99, accordingly.
