DGS-1024A kills my network

rgreenpc

New Around Here
I have a new home and have thrown some gear at it until I can budget for a proper setup:

Comcast Cable feeding an AC66U which in turn feeds the 1024A.

I had been noticing some weird dropouts of my broadband, but yesterday DHCP quit working on devices attached to the router. I didn't of course discover this until much later (read 4 hours of debugging)... (SMH)

I am going to check and see if its a bad port when I get home but have any of you experienced anything like this?

It went so far as to disrupt the upstream router. The second I took the 1024 out of the equation I had no more issues with network stability.

Anyone seen this before?

I did with an SG2216. The issue there was a power outage that may have caused a power spike (my ONT box did get fried from the power outage, but nothing else in my house did). For a couple of weeks I had some devices that couldn't access others on the network or only certain services from other devices. A reboot didn't fix it, but a factory restore did. Took a couple of weeks of troubleshooting to figure out what the issue was.

Not sure if you've tried power cycling it, but you might want to see if that helps.

Alternately, are you sure no loops are going on with the switch/network?

Nothing was physically changed on the switch. I have power cycled numerous times... I will try ports now to check them and find out if its a systemic issue or isolated
