New Around Here
Been using the n56u with padavan fw for my ADSL connection sometime now and everyday i have been getting disconnections like crazy.

I have 0 knowledge when it comes to networking so i hope a kind soul could help me out please.

Modem - TP-Link TD 8840T
Router - Asus RT-N56U with Padavan FW 3.0.3.1v-027
NIC - D-Link DGE-528T Gigabit PCIe Adapter

Modem - Bridged mode DHCP off
Router - nothing touched except entering userid + password

And at the time of the events taking place
lights on modem - power , adsl , lan are on
lights on router all are on

And also this never happens when i only have the modem connected to pc

Below is the logs on the router

These sound like either an ISP or a modem issue to me, unrelated to the router itself. If power cycling your modem doesn't help, contact your ISP so they can have a look at your line stats.

I have had this router for a month and never in my life had so much agro with a router,

the disconnects were relentless and the wireless was dire!!

I have tried virtually every firmware there is and im fairly cute around networks and pcs and have a good understanding.

I have read post after post and thread after thread and the bottom line is this router doesnt like going over 50 Meg,

I have tried the asus firmware and padavans firmware and am spending more time trying to fix this asus crap than actually using my pc.

I have been getting grief from all of the family that are trying to use the internet.

Today i have hit a wall and had enough and returned the router to amazon as i am sick of the sight of it.

Dont be fobbed off with isp issues etc i would say send it back as its a bucket of agro.

read around the net and see the amount of people having trouble with it compared to the amount of people that actually get a resolve to the problem.

you shouldnt have to be fixing £90 router as soon as you purchase it.

/2cents rant over :)

I also have the same router and I also tried all the firmwares. firmware version 1.0.1.7f works for me as the others firmware had disconnections problems.

My New Cisco is rock solid :)

and i have also purchased the wireless range extender to serve upstairs,

5 bars all around the house is wicked!!
