ok, guess i will continue to use uorigin then. zzzZ.Expected behavior. Please use the subforum search to see the many past discussions on trying to block YouTube ads with both Diversion and other addon's. The issue has been well discussed. Best way to block YouTube ads is with a browser extension. Or dedicated apps on the playback device.
Currently blocking Youtube ads using uBlock Origin browser plugin and through SmartTubeNext on android streaming devices connected to TV's. Only ads not blocked, obviously, are the ones a channel talking head included right in their video or live broadcast (those "lets take a moment to thank our sponsors..." type ads). Others though that Youtube places throughout the videos are blocked. Diversion, Pi-Hole and other DNS based apps/services generally cannot stop YouTube ads because the ads are hosted by Youtube not a third party where the DNS request could be filtered, blocked or memory holed. You can't block You Tube adds anymore. If you are able to block them they will shortly cut you off.
