OK, that helped. Additional tests will be included in Diversion 4.0.4 when re-installing or updating Diversion.
Great I had a similar issue with my selected IP for pixelserv not 'taking' on install (even though IIRC it did actually say the address I selected was free); the message in the diversion console was pixelserve-tls (not running).

As above, I followed your steps to select ep,5 then re-added the (same) IP, disabled then re-enabled pixelserv. Then it worked. Cheers.

I am running Merlin 384.7.2, Diversion 4.0.3, Skynet 6.5.2 and - 2.1.1. I also have Astrill VPN. Diversion fails on several popup ad testing sites. Is that normal? It is my understanding unless the ad server is in the blocking list no popup will be blocked.

The ad counter seems stuck at Oct 25th and the counter does not change.

thanks, Bj

Why so rude?

IMHO, sometimes the instructions are helpful, sometimes not.
Ok @M@rco is not a rude person, and stating the obvious is also not rude, it is just being clear and concise. People do not do enough reading, and just ask a question no matter how many times it has been asked before. (Ironically, some people are put out by comments like, RTFM). Next time try to invest in looking for the answer, by doing so, you may be able to help someone else. IMHO

Just found this in syslog:
Code:
Oct 27 01:10:00 Diversion: unable to send firmware notification, email.conf or diversion.conf not found, from /opt/share/diversion/file/update.div
Never seen this before. I did not setup any notification or email.
Should I be concerned? What should I do?

You should not be concerned.
In c, does it say "1. Diversion update notification DivUn"?
If so, disable it.

How to update to Diversion 4.0.4
To update to this latest version use d and select Update.

I just updated diversion, but there was a red "X" at "Additional hosts" during update.
Is that normal? I'm concerned, because it's red.

Is ad-blocking enabled? If so, what's the output of:
Code:
grep "blockinglist.*" /etc/dnsmasq.conf
Also, post content of dnsmasq.conf, use sf to show the file.

update to 4.04 smooth for me thanks.
sf function has a small cosmetic anomaly for me. For the list of jffs script files, only the first two scripts ( 7 & 8 in my case) were on their own line. The remainder of the scripts ( 9 to 19) were all listed on one line.
Cant say if this was the case in previous versions or not but i think i would have noticed it.

This space saving feature was added in v4.0.1. When more than three files are found in a directory, the remainders are listed on one line starting with the third file.

I have no great answers except that I powered off my router, restarted it and the problem has resolved itself. Reporting the failing on pop-up sites was me completely forgetting how it works. It blocks the sites that serve the ads and does an awesome job at that.

Until this incident, it has never hiccuped on me. I am very pleased with it and the authors support.

Ah .. none of the other directories have more than three entries (which they wouldn't in normal circumstances i guess) .... that just shows that i haven't used the cf function since you first released diversion... also proving how nothing has been on the fritz in a long time to cause me to look there :) I use the cj function a lot though ... cos i suck at setting cron jobs up properly, so I'm happy that one made the transition from AB-Solution to Diversion.
Great work as always.

Just a timing issue then, nothing to worry about. I‘ll allow more time for Dnsmasq to restart in the next update.
