New Around Here
I am using asuswrt-merlin for a while now and after reading e.g. here https://dnsprivacy.org/wiki/display...p.repair/page4.html#DNSPrivacyClients-Routers about DoT I decided to enable it on my device but I was surprised to see that it's not available in WAN settings.

I'm currently running 384.8. Should I install something via entware to enable it?

Two options for you to get DoT:
John`s fork which has Stubby/Getdns built in with nifty gui controls.
Stubby/Getdns via Entware which requires a Linux formatted (EXT2, 3 or 4) USB drive. Will also require some file editing to get the resolvers you want.

I am using both methods. John`s fork in an office application and the other at home on Merlin 384.8-2.
