I have curious question that I have not found an answer to. How much asuswrt-merlin router memory does the 1500 dns lookups cache of DNSMASQ use once it is full?

I was asking more along the lines of RAM. Would lowering the size benefit RAM usage?
No, RAM usage should be negligible.

EDIT: I've just checked this on my router and changing the Merlin default of 1500 down to 150 (the minimum) saved 136kB. The cache memory is allocated at startup and therefore doesn't change in size depending on how "full" it is.

I concur, I set mine to 10000 and notice no real memory changes either.
