DS209 setup question

Hi All,

I have a small question for all the NAS users here. I am having a Seagate 1 TB HDD. I plan to buy another HDD in a day or two. But I would like to try out my new DS209 box. Is it possible to simply use 1 HDD in the box? Or is it mandatory to use 2 HDDs at the same time?

No you can use one on it's own as a basic volume

When you get the second disc, you can convert to a Raid 1 set up if you choose to
