Hi All,

Does anyone know if the Merlin firmware for the RT-AC88U can be used on the DSL-AC88U? Or is it missing the crucial modem parts from the firmware?

if not does the standard Asus Firmware allow Persistent JIFFS2 partition so I can modify/create files via SSH?

Also can I run commands from the tools menu on the standard Asus firmware?

I need this for smart things Wi-Fi presence which works a treat on my R7000 with Merlin.

Stock firmware might have a JFFS partition, but it doesn't support custom scripts, so you can't do much with it beside store small files.
