Hi,
I am considering using a EAX80 WiFi 6 extender, but want to make use of a wired backbone (so this extender is connected over ethernet cable to the router). When reading the specs I can't become sure that this device is supporting this. Is anyone knowing the answer?

Thank you!
I couldn't find the User Manual ....

Ordered. ETA about October 21th. Will compare coverage and speed with R7800 in AP-mode.

Edit: ETA is now October 28.... . Amazon is slow ...

EAX80 now running for a week. Works great so far.

SPEED
Compared with the R7800 I get higher up- and downloads with my Sony Xperia XC and Microsoft Surface Pro. The Sony was limited to 150 Mb/s and now runs 200+ both ways on 5 GHz. My ISP-speed is 1Gb/s up and down. It is still AC what I use, but nice to see this step in performance.

COVERAGE
No difference between R7800 en de EAX80

Next phone will have Wifi-6 :)
I am prepared (for in-house).

Glad its working but that speed seems slow given 1 gb ISP speed.

Is the router or extender not set up to 2133 5ghz?

In the settings page it shows "Max 4800 Mbps" for 5 GHz.
I have installed a 2nd EAX80 for upstairs, also connected over cable to the router. The whole house is now WiFi-6 ready.

Now tested another mobile phone, a Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact:
DOWNLOAD speed about 300 Mbps
UPLOAD speed about 650 Mbps
