Hi all.

I am facing a problem for a bout a few weeks: when I run opkg update / upgrade I am getting this:

Installing glib2 (2.74.0-1) to root...
Downloading https://bin.entware.net/armv7sf-k2.6/glib2_2.74.0-1_armv7-2.6.ipk
Installing libattr (20170915-1) to root...
Collected errors:
* opkg_download_pkg: Package libattr is not available from any configured src.
* opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download libattr. Perhaps you need to run 'opkg update'?
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package glib2.
Now I see glib2 package was not upgraded. And it's not even installed:
f@Router:/tmp/mnt/swapusb/entware/bin# opkg remove glib2
No packages removed.

At the same time I cannot remove libattr:
f@Router:/tmp/mnt/swapusb/entware/bin# opkg remove libattr --force-remove
No packages removed.
Any ideas how to solve it?

Did you run opkg update first, as suggested by the error message? I have run into this before and have had to update the package list.

FYI, New Entware Release Today.

Maybe it sounds surprising but I can read and I did run opkg update before writing the post about the issue.

there's an entware Telegram channel that the people who maintain it monitor more consistently/vigilantly than the threads on the various web fora...
