I am getting near moving into my new home and have run the following structured wiring:
2 - Cat 5E,2 - RG6 Quad to each room that will have a TV, TIVO, other device
2 Cat5E to any location that may have a computer or telephone attached.
I currently have 34 Cat 5E cables run back to the equipment mount rack where I will be having cable (Charter) or DSL (Centurytel) installed.
I'm curious what set-up any of you experts would install for best performance and future proof possible.
I have two boys and my wife and I are regular internet users as well as on-line gamers. I also hope to stream media if possible.
Any and all input is welcome. I am fairly astute and have some additional resources for technical support but am hoping to administrate this myself.
