Factory default reset Zen wifi AX xd4

Will doing a factory default reset by Asus method https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1050464 work OK and will this reset the nodes as well? Feel it is best to start again and I have downloaded the cfg file. Thanks.

No, it won't reset the nodes.

That video still only shows it resetting the router by WPS and not the nodes and yes I did have to do it when I first bought the system last year and even then I think it was a matter of trial and error getting the nodes to reset.
Is it a better method to use the WPS than to use the GUI?

You missed the point. Do the appropriate method for the nodes too.

And yes, ime, (and even before Asus noted that method), the WPS reset method is superior at giving you a fully and properly reset unit.
