failure to import OVPN on an RT-AX86S

I'm trying to install a VPN on a RT-AX86S using the latest release of the Merlin firmware but get a message saying that CA, Certificate and key files will need to be uploaded manualy. This happens whilst I'm trying to import the OVPN file. When I close the message box the import fails. Any ideas what else I can do?

Open your ovpn file with a text editor and confirm that it's not corrupted and contains the necessary CA, Certificate and key data.

I've tried quite a few versions of the Cyberghost and Zenmate OVPN files and they don't seem to be corrupted, below is the text output of one of them. I've also tried to try different versions of the firmware but the two earlier builds failed to load, the beta behaved just the same as the latest build

If that is literally what your file contains then it is invalid. The following lines should be replaced with the actual data.

It still comes up with invalid configeration though, the the file now imports properly. I think I'll sleep on it for now and it might go better for a rest

Do as it says, and upload both the CA, client and key content, since it`s not inside the ovpn file but inside external separate files.

All done now, the only other thing that causes failure is the custom confirmation box at the bottom of the VPN client page. When I follow your instructions and empty the custom config box everything works well. Thanks very much for your help. John
