Fios wan overhead, a followup

I believe, based on the ITU G.984.4 : Gigabit-capable passive optical networks (G-PON): ONT management and control interface specification, that FIOS is using IPOE.

Especially, as per MOCA 2.0 and using wireshark captures, the ONT multicast spams the hell out of the LAN trying to hit the cable boxes, which also have an IP address. Further, the run from the ONT to the modem includes a Cat-5e (minimum) cable which runs at 1 gig full duplex.

I could be wrong but I figured I'd share since we have discussed it on here at least once or twice. Plus, it's a fascinating read.
