[Fixed] Can't SSH into router and Asus Router

Hi guys,
I have spent this morning trying to figure out why all of a sudden I am having multiple problems.

1. can't SSH into my router either via WAN or LAN.
My settings are at the bottom of the post

I am trying to connect
via lan at 192.168.1.1:22
wan at myserver.servebeer.com:22 (Dynamic DNS host)

Getting error "connection refused" on both WAN and LAN

2. I can't connect to web gui via lan with HTTP.
HTTP and HTTPS access to web GUI is enabled, only HTTPS works.
Trying with http://192.168.1.1:8080

3. Can't connect to web gui over WAN.
It's enabled, as you can see in the above below. I am trying with my phone over cell network. It used to work.
Using
https://myserver.servebeer.com:8443


4. Asus Router app isn't working over WAN.
It used to- it is giving an error saying it can't find the server.

This is really weird connectivity problems happening to my router. Everything used to work fine. Not being able to SSH in even over LAN is a bummer.

So first thing I tried was rebooting the router. I realized that though I clicked the reboot button and waited till 100%, the router never actually rebooted. So I used the button to reboot. This fixed the problems. Case closed!
Though quite a silly bug, that rebooting through the GUI didnt actually do anything!

CPU1 is stuck on 100% and I wanted to SSH into the machine to find out why

question , do you have gui over wan or ssh over wan (userid/password)
if you have, good luck.. likely your router may have been compromised.

Try changing ssh key to access?

All failed? Reflush firmware and factory reset (initialize).

Nope, all WAN access is disabled.

SSH was disabled altogether, I usually just enable it only when I need it.

Turning the router off and on using the hw button resolved everything.

This just happened to me again. Never experienced the issue prior to 384.4_2

Out of curiosity, what model and fw are you using @p1r473?
