just a suggestion , keep the 5300 and use it as a router only and run the orbi in AP mode as the orbi is a bit short on features atm and may be for some time , i run my 88u with wifi off and the orbi and its a great combination

Good idea I may try the same since MU-MIMO doesn't work on the 88U anyway.
