AC87U router.
Tried updating via GUI from 384.13.8 to 384.13.10, four times, but it is still on .8. after each update.
No errors.

Running entware with nginx and a few packages installed (python and more). Acme.sh script also running for letsencrypt certs.

How do I find out why update fails? Log set to debug, but no apparent explanation..

Thanks, that did the trick.

Sadly it seems this will be the last fw update for the ac87u..

Yep :(

The blame goes to Asus though, not RMerlin. Despite him doing this work for free, on his own and in his spare time, he would have been more than happy to keep supporting the RT-AC87U and the RT-AC3200. Sadly the big corporation with thousands of employees and billions in revenue can't be bothered to help him.

IMO people should start moving to open source firmware as this type of companies don't deserve our business. Open source router-firewall firmware like pfSense and OPNsense are mature enough for large scale adoption and can be run on less expensive yet more powerful hardware.
