Gaming router recommendations

Im looking for a good gaming router, im running my gaming rig via wire but i need it to be wireless so i can use a laptop occasionaly, i tried the netgear 3700 and was not impressed, im using a engenius 9850 but it just too quirky any ideas? thanks

Unless you're willing to put up with unpredictable periods of high lag, you should forget wireless for gaming.

If you must go wireless, try 802.11g, not N. G is much more stable. Any router will do.

my game machine is not wireless, i want wireless so i can use my wireless laptop in another area of the house

What are you trying to do with the laptop that is causing you to be not impressed by the two routers you have tried. The WNDR3700 is one of the best N routers available in terms of wireless performance.

Do you work for Draytek? In a 30 minute period you just bumped up over 1/2 dozen threads from the past with replies pointing to Drayteks....in a rather "spammer like" fashion.
