GT-AX11000 - older model from 2018
Netgear R9000 - very unpopular AD model from 2016
RT-AX88U Pro - very popular around model from 2023

No matter what the coverage differences might be - from the list above RT-AX88U Pro is the obvious choice. Much newer hardware, Asuswrt 5.0 compatible, Asuswrt-Merlin supported (currently on Asuswrt 4.0 base), expected longer support, has 2x 2.5GbE ports for WAN and LAN.

Can you share why R9000 is very unpopular in your own words?

Because at release R9000 was very expensive 3-band model router with one useless 802.11ad radio with no clients. This 60GHz single room Wi-Fi technology was sort of experimental and never took off. What is usable on this router is 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) and 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5). This router is e-waste now.

Are you saying it would have the worst coverage of the three mentioned for wireless? I have all of these but am just curious.

If you already have them - recycle R9000 (garbage), sell GT-AX11000 (if not needed) and keep RT-AX88U Pro (the best from above). The coverage simply doesn't matter in this case. If you need coverage beyond what RT-AX88U Pro can do by itself - use GT-AX11000 as AiMesh node.
