GT AX11000 Pro Strange Wifi Performance

Occasional Visitor
Hey everyone, Having a strange issue that recently cropped up and I cant seem to figure out what the issue is. Moved about a month ago and have fios gig up and down. Verified that I see that with a hardwired connection. When i first set everything up I was able to get gig speed on my Z fold 6 and macbook pro m2 max when i was close to the router. Now for whatever reason when I run speedtest i only can achieve max 540 mpbs down but still see 920-960 on the upload. I've run iperf from a pc with a 2.5gb nic direct to my phone and macbook and sometimes it tops out at 960 mpbs up and down and other times it will give me 1.6-1.8 gbps up and down. But even when it gives me those results I still never get full download speed over wifi, i verify on my desktop immediately after running a test that im getting full speed both ways.

Things i have tired:

Manually setting channel on both 5g 1 and 5g 2.

Factory resetting

Using merlin custom firmware, and using asus OEM firmware

Factory resetting router, removing all devices and only connecting one wifi device.

Every time however my download is always slow and I always get 920-960 upload on both devices.

Only difference i sometimes get is that if i use openspeed test instead of ookla speed test my download might top out at 750 mbps while my upload remains at its high speed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is my router dying, its about 2 years old. I'm just at a loss especially since the first few days after setting it up i was getting symmetric speed over wifi

And just so everyone knows, all speed tests were done with direct line of sight to router no more then 4 feet away.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of this, any guidance would be greatly appreciated
