Hardware Acceleration > NAT Acceleration???

So Hardware Acceleration has changed its name to NAT Acceleration in the newest firmware for the AC68...
Ok... But what the hell do the new values mean?
Hardware Acceleration used to be Enable or Disable.
NAT Acceleration can be Disable or Level 1 CTF or Level 2 CTF
What is Level 1 CTF and Level 2 CTF???

I only saw that in the 501 beta build. I guess it would probably be in any Merlin build based on code from around that time as well. The latest Asus build removed the level 2 option, at least for me. I think RMerlin has pointed out that it wasn't supported on current hardware anyway (some Broadcom feature that only works on certain chipsets), so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As far as we know, Asus inserted Level 1 and Level 2 in to Beta 501 by accident, as none of the current products support Level 2. Im guessing Level 2 is for the newer router AC87.
Thus Level 1 and Level 2 were removed for fw 542, and it was never in other firmwares.

So if you are running 501, or any Merlins firmware that is based on 501, then all you need to know, is that; Level 1=Enabled, Level 2 = Ignore it( it doesnt work) and Disable = Disable.

NAT Acceleration = Hardware Acceleration, wording got changed.
