Has anyone done thermal testing on the RTL8125 2.5GbE controller?

Controller in question: https://www.realtek.com/en/products/communications-network-ics/item/rtl8125bg-s-cg
Around a week ago, I purchased some 2.5GbE adapters since a generic Rosewill one was a little under $18 each. https://www.newegg.com/rosewill-rc-20001/p/N82E16833166146 (price went up shortly after)

The thing is that in some more expensive units which use the same controller, they tend to have a heatsink, for example: https://www.servethehome.com/trendnet-2-5gbase-t-pcie-adapter-review-teg-25gectx/

The items have not been delivered yet, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this Ethernet controller and if so, does it seem to get very hot?
I am wondering if it would be worth using some thermal epoxy and attaching a heatsink to the NICs.

I have a few small heatsinks that I can use though using them will void the warranty if thermal epoxy is used.

RTL8125: hot, unstable, throttling because of heat.
Intel i225 v2: is almost same as RTL8125.

I will have to test some different heatsink sizes to see what I can fit onto the chip without interfering with other passives close to it.
