I've been away from this forum for a while and haven't logged in in my router for so long that could barely remember password (just the way I like it, means it's been running stable). Fortunately, I did remember the password at the end and was able to login. Router (RT-N66U) has been up for 57 days.
I am still on Merlin's 3.0.0.4.270.26 firmware. I don't have any 5 GHZ devices and have this band disabled in router. I also don't use AI cloud but have potential use for VPN (used PPTP in the past).
I realize several new firmware versions for RT-N66U have been released. Read through release threads and it seems some people complain about reboots with the latest versions.
So my question is: what version is worth upgrading to if stability and security are of most importance? From what I understand latest version(s) had some security fixes.
RMerlin: may I suggest including release date in change log? Thanks.
