Having AIMesh issues with GT-AX11000

Hello everyone.

Here's the issue I am having. I just recently purchased the GT-AX11000 router, which I'm very pleased with. The problem is trying to connect my RP-AC68U in AiMesh mode.
When I try to use the Asus router APP to connect it as a node it never finds the RP-AC68U or through the GUI interface on the GT-AX11000.

I was able to set it up through WPS as a repeater. It would never become a solid connection with most devices connected but without internet access.

I checked to see if both firmware are up to date and it seems they are.
The firmware for the GT-AX11000 is 3.0.0.4.382.40019
The firmware for the RP-AC68U is 3.0.0.4.384.8011

Is there a compatibility issue between both devices or is there something in the settings I have to enable/disable to get this to work.

New to the AiMesh thing.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just put it in the reset state again.
Both antennas in the back show they are on.

So, can you add it to the AiMesh now, setting near the router?

Still does not let me. Wont even come up. So I tried a few options. WPS and wired any other suggestions?

Try to wire it and add it.

the rp-ac68 is not supported for aimesh you need the rt-ac68 for that
