HE tunnel ipv6

I'm using merlin asus RT-AC66u_b1 with version 384.6 recently updated.

This version works as opposed to prevvious version.
For ipv6 I'm setting up a tunnel to HE.com but:

THe asus Merlin firmware complains on the sit mode
sit0: device not found

Do i need to load a modprob or use an other way of tunneling to access HE.COM tunnel
all example scripts (except the HE example ) only offer the setting for the remote addres

but the actual creation of the tunnel and the tunnel device does not seem to work.
