Help install Midnight Commander

Hello,

I have a little problem.
After upgrading to Version 43 and changing to a bigger USB-Stick I had to reinstall MC.
I used "ipkg install mc" and didn't want to use entware, because I wanted to continue using the Download-Manager.
After the installation without error-messages, I started mc and got:

mc: can't load 'libslang.so.2'

Any idea, how I could fix that ?

Looks like last mc build was re-linked from ncurses to slang. Try to do:

ipkg install slang

Yes, its a 32 GB stick, formated with fat32...

libslang.so.2 is a symlink and it cannot exist on fat32.
You need to format your "bigger stick" as ext2 or ext3.

OK, I used a stick with etx3 and the problem still remains.
"ipkg update" brought up the following error:

Updated list of available packages in /opt/lib/ipkg/lists/optware.oleg

wget: server returned error: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
An error ocurred, return value: 1.

ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 1: `wget -q -P /opt/ipkg-ncL5aX http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/ASUSWRT/Packages.gz'

After trying to start mc, still the same error message:
mc: can't load library 'libslang.so.2' ..........
