I am a complete novice when it comes to computers and networking. However, I have been researching this (wireless routers) for the past few weeks. I think I am more confused than when I started.
Gist of it: My wife just bought me a TOSHIBA SATELLITE L755-S5356 laptop. The only thing I want to really do with it is stream video from Netflix in different areas of my house. The router, will be located in my basement, my bedroom is upstairs. I also have a desktop and cable-tv-set-top-box that I would like to connect to the router. I dont nessarily want to buy a router that offers "too much" or more than I need; but also want quality and reliability.
