I have Asus DSL-N17U which I have kept in Bridge mode on ADSL. Now I have RT-AC88U which dials a PPPoE connection to my ISP.

DSL-N17U
Bridge Mode
IP 192.168.0.1 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
DHCP: On

RT-AC88U
WAN IP 1:
ISP Provided Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.255
WAN IP 2: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 (From DSL-N17U's DHCP)
LAN IP: 192.168.1.1 Subnet Mask: 255.25.255.0

From my PC connected to RT-AC88U with a LAN cable, I cannot access DSL-N17U by typing 192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
I used TP-Link TD-8816 ADSL modem in bridge mode previously and I was able to access it once internet connection was established.
What can be done to get access to DSL-N17U because I check my ADSL line stats often.

the easy way is to install merlins firmware on the 88u as the merlin firmware allows for passing forward of whats called unknown ip addresses to the wan port of the 88u and thus will enable you to access the gui of the n17u from behind the 88u

the other ways are

re enable the wifi on the n17u but leave it in bridge mode and access it by setting a static ip address on your wireless adapter that matches the n17u

eg set say 192.168.0.5 and subnet 255.255.255.0 on the ipv4 of the wireless adapter then connect to the wifi of the n17u ( you would need a separate ssai on the n17u ) and access the n17 gui , once finished disconnect from the n17u and set the ipv4 back to dynamic ip and dns mode for the adapter

or

you can connect a comp directly to one of the the n17u ethernet ports and set your comps ethernet port ipv4 to 192.168.0.5 and subnet 255.255.255.0 and connect to the n17u and access its gui and then return the ethernet adapter to dynamic ip and dnc once finished

any of the above will work but the question is why do you want or need to access the n17u gui as once bridged the modem is nothing but a transparent bridge between the isp and the wireless router or pppoe device behind the n17u
