How to flash ASUS-RT-AX3000 ?

albertux

New Around Here
I have an ASUS RT-AX3000 with the current stock firmware: : 3.0.0.4.388_25210-gfbda585 I tried to flash using the RT-AX58U (based on the readme is the same firmware) "RT-AX58U_3004_388.9_2_puresqubi.w"

I even tried the:

nvram set DOWNGRADE_CHECK_PASS=1

But I always get:

Firmware upgrade unsuccessful. This may result from incorrect image or error transmission. Please check the version of firmware and try again.

Any help is appreciate it

Do you have a v2 version of the RT-AX58U? If so you will need to use the Gnuton fork that supports the RT-AX58U v2.

Check the lable on the back of the router, it typically will show version (H/W Ver) number if there is one.
