New Around Here
Hi all,

Just bought the RT-N66U after discovering the merlin-wrt.

Being forced by my isp in a double nat environment and no option to set the homegateway as bridge, i've been working on a ddns update script. Now i have a working script with http. As wget version on the router does not support https, is it possible to send a https request using a other command without installing optware?

Just to make sure, is the /tmp directory is written in RAM? Having read that the syslog is written to RAM. And the syslog.log is located there i suppose it is, but want to know for sure.

A big thank you to RMerlin for all his hard work in providing us with this excellent firmware

Really 130 views and no one takes the effort to answer.

Well i suppose you guys can't be bothered to make te time to teach something to someone who just started to learn the linux command line & scripting.

Guess i was wrong for asking the information here to people who i suppose have knowledge enough of the routers native commands to know if it is possible and if that directory is located in the systems ram.

What a hospitality here, suppose common courtesy no longer applies today.

First of all thank you Nerre, for taking the time to answer me.

I thought so, but was still hoping there would be a way by using the installed openssl to connect to the server and maybe sending a raw http request trough that tunnel, but i can't figure out if that's even possible or how to do that.

I would have liked to make a script available that syncs with dyndns on a secure way and logged in the syslog if you are forced with double NAT without relying on optware. To bad it seems that won't be possible.
