I can still access my router via a deregistered DDNS

Hi,

I just deregistered a DDNS on my ASUS 6000 gaming router, and I can still access my routers GUI via the deregistered domain name. (DDNS)

I wonder if it is bc it takes a couple of days before the cached DNS will take effect?

I have turned DDNS off both from the APP and the browser.

I followed these instrctions:

If you have a way to change your WAN IP (depending on ISP connection type) the old DDNS record will become unusable right away.

If your concern is that your router GUI is accessible via WAN, you need to disable the GUI being made available via WAN interface. Otherwise it will still be open via browsing to your IP even after your DDNS gets de-registered. You need to set the GUI settings to only be accessible via the LAN if that's what you want.
