After searching for answers to my questions I found a lot of people had the same questions and not much in the way of answers.
I have a Zylex nas, yep its not much but it fit my needs 4 years ago.
Now I am going to get a new nas and started to order a 453A thinking this is the new big kid on the block and I wanted something that would do it all. Well it does but not tomorrow, I asked about transcode H.265 compressed files and 4K and a lot of other questions and there are threads everywhere about people asking the same thing but getting nothing but speculation and people saying better wait for the new models.
Then the killer for me is now they have dropped support for KODI that I have used on my media center for years and has been great.
What do I look for now, I am lost.
ps I know this is a can of worms but for file backups and media storage what raid should I use, what hd would be the best?
