@Jack Yaz: Not sure whether intentional or even worth mentioning, but I had to start fresh today and apparently I enabled the built-in ntp-server. When I ran the ntpMerlin installer script, it detected that, disabled it but it also closed my (Putty) terminal session while at it, instead of returning to amtm. Was that intented?

Code:
This installs ntpMerlin - Installer for kvic NTP Daemon

Done.

And the session was unexpectedly terminated...

In addition to my previous post, it looks like the installer didn't get to finish the job. The ntpmerlin page on the add-ons page isn't showing up and uninstalling generates some errors too:

Code:

Re-ran the installer from amtm, now all is fine. Looking at the remainder of the output things got cut off early...

Code:
Enter option j2

Disabling the NTP server daemon and restarting the time service will restart sshd. That's a tough one, but Jack will come up with something. :)

i could probably just manually call server restart on the individual services and hope for the best.
or just stop ntpd and assume nothing else needs to be restarted. i used the time restart on advice from a more knowledgeable developer than i
