Internal DNS not responding when using openvpn

Hello Everyone, not sure what I am doing wrong, but I have the option in openvpn to push dns to the clients etc, but it is not resolving to my dns server (synology). Is there a client config I need to modify? Any insight would be appreciated.

So you've added;

push "dhcp-option DNS 10.8.0.1"

Can the client ping that address over the VPN? (or indeed use any port such as telnet, www etc)

Also if the VPN and LAN clients are on a different subnet, do you have a static route/gateway defined on them so they know how to reach each other via the ASUS?

Glad to be of help!

Seems like a good segue to remind everyone about the 'Donate' Paypal button on RMerlin's homepage.
All of his work is in his spare time, and greatly appreciated by us all.
