Hello...

I am trying to make the IPKG-WEB to work on optware.
It doesnt need much configuration as far as i can tell.
But you need to place 2 CGI files in a folder, but i dont know wich folder to put them in what ever i try i cannot acces the files with with my web browser.
In wich directory should they be and how will i acces them ?

There's no real web server in the firmware. The httpd daemon is only designed to handle the regular router webui, it can't handle anything more complex. That's why AiCloud and Download Master both have their own dedicated, full-featured web server.

cherokee webserver

Well i have a cherokee webserver setup and running now on my optware partition.
But i dont get it really al the packages are installed and running like they should be but when i start the CGI package with the browser it does not load any packages i see the query button and an empty list nothing more.
On tomato USB it works but it uses lighthttpd, but i cant get that to work on the merlin wrt because i think asus is using it also and it conflicts when i install it on optware.
Can you reccomend me a webserver for optware that will work perfect as allround with your custom firmware ?
I really do not want to drop your firmware, it works perfect for me but there is not a lot of documentation at this moment.
I am taking notes of every step i take with this router and will commit it to github when i think it is working perfect right now i need to make a few modifications to the tutorials.
But hell i learned a lot the last couple of days, i think its exiting to play around with.
Unfortunatly i do not have all the time of the world haha:p

One thing to keep in mind that any web server you install will have to be configured to listen to different ports. Port 80 is used by httpd (for the webui), 443 is used by AiCloud's lighttpd.

Also one thing that can potentially cause issues: the superuser is called "admin" and not "root" with Asuswrt. Some scripts and config files might require a few tweaks to take that into account.

Yeah that admin-root causes a couple of issues i found out.
I could not acces cherokee-admin with a normal username, had to mount tweak it but still i do not have a proper solution.
Is there a way to adjust the admin name in asus wrt ? or would that break the stuff ?

It would break a lot of other stuff.

Someone posted an Howto on the Asus VIP forums on how to install Cherokee, take a look at it if you are still having issues with it.
