is it ok to flash 3.0.0.4.380_1354 to newest version of merlin?

Got a new RT-AC88U. I know the newer versions of firmware they are saying not to do it......just making sure its ok

Is the current FW you are running, working ok for you? If so, no need to flash.
BETA is different from FINAL. BETA is testing, where once bugs are tested and ironed out, it becomes final, and usually more stable.

If you want to flash to the latest, then you can not go back to an earlier FW, as reported numerous times on these forums.
