New Around Here
Hi,

i have a raid 5 running on a synology DS410j but just a few weeks after setting it up the lan port on the NAS seems to have died. does anyone know whether it is possible to place the array in another DS410j and carry on reading/writing normally or if the info that it contained is doomed?

cheers and thanks,
joao

PS - all status lights on the NAS suggest everything is ok, it's only the lan port that won't connect to a router/switch/computer. no firmware updates have taken place before and the array is a 4xSamsung EcoGreen F3 2000GB

Your best shot would be to move the drives, in the same slot order to another DS410j.
