Is mini-snmpd still functional with the latest (Pro) ASUS routers?

I'm just wondering because I went through the installation procedure I used previously on my older ASUS router (which is no longer available), but when I tried to use it to monitor my network traffic with Networx, it wouldn't work. Also, and I'm not sure if I followed a valid procedure here, but after adding the scripts using WinSCP, I tried to use the execute command on the services-start file (to mimic a reboot) and received an error message about some invalid character(s) in the file. There was also an error code (it could have been Error 255, but I'm not certain of that at the moment).

If I have another go at setting this up again, is there any way to confirm that the mini-snmpd feature is actually running?

I've reinstalled mini-snmp and according to the system log, it's working OK. However, despite replicating my previous settings in Networx, I cannot get that to work. If I select SNMP in the app, there is no interface available for selection in the dropdown. So it would seem that something has changed since I last had Networx successfully monitoring traffic using SNMP, but what, that's the question? I've also tried setting the SNMP versions in Networx to 0 (default), 1, 2 & 3 but nothing works (v2 was what worked previousl). Any ideas folks?
