Is the RT-AC85U supported?

Sorry for the very simple question, but I'm kinda new to custom fw on routers.

Just need to know if this model is supported. I bought it in Japan, and there is no English option.

Not supported, and never will be - this is a Mediatek-based device.

I don't think there's any custom firmware for Mediatek-based routers at this point.

I live in Japan and would like install AsusWRT-Merlin firmware for setup OpenVPN on one of the SSID the dual band offers.
Still no possibility to install it on this AC85U model ?
