I currently have an Asus RT-AX58U, and I’m thinking of replacing it with a WiFi 7 router. I’m considering the TP-Link BE6500. Is the TP-Link BE6500 an upgrade from my Asus RT-AX58U, or should I look into another WiFi 7 router? If not, what WiFi 7 router would you recommend under $250?

TP-Link BE6500 is a lower end model dual-band router, has newer radios and 2x 2.5GbE ports. If your clients can take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 - sure. If you have mostly IoTs (N), common 5GHz clients (AC/AX) and just a new phone with AXE/BE - save your money. Your overall experience won't change much.
