Is there HW A2 version of AC66U? Anybody know what is the difference between HW A1 and A2? Any difference in performance?

Mine is HW A1 bought in Aug in Hong Kong.

Yes, I have a HW: A2 version.
Got it two weeks ago from ASUS Nordic.
Don't know what the difference between A1 and A2 is.

According to service support from ASUS in Hong Kong, there is no difference between HW A1 and A2.

Such minor revision jumps are often minor things, like switching a brand of capacitors to a different one, etc... As a user, I wouldn't worry about it.

A2 is definately different

The default Asus firmware is good for users with low feature demand. Useless for anyone who's serious about networking. You need merlin or dd-wrt to make this router into the top routers on the market. Up to at least the date of this post, there are some big issues using dd-wrt on an A2 revision. Brainslayer said he'll fix this in future versions, but the current version, those who've tried it on an A2, posted they bricked their routers..

So if you get a hand on an A2, send it back and request the A1 version..
Or wait till the Brain fixed the revision issues.
