Before Smallnetbuidler dismisses this device as no faster than any other 2-stream AP or router, someone really needs to re-run the test with an Intel 6300 wifi chip NOT a 5300 and with 3 antenna not two. First the 5300 is certified for for only 2 streams on a single band, while the 6300 is certified for 3. You also require 3 seperate antenna for 3-stream speeds.

Until then, you should admit that your testing is flawed, especially if you say it's no faster. At the very least, you should re-run the speeds tests with the 6300 and 3 antenna.

The testing with the two-stream Intel 5300 client is valid, as the comparison is made with other two-stream routers tested with the same client.

The 5300 may not be Wi-Fi Certified for three-stream N. But Intel has assured me that it supports three stream operation.

The first test article adequately describes the admittedly jury-rigged three stream test, which was done under close range only and with three antennas.
