Note: There are two versions of the TUF-AX3000, the OP has the newer V2 version:

Generally it IS NOT a good idea to flash firmware for one model to that model's V2 or later Vx version unless the firmware developer indicates its OK to do so. Doing so could brick, possibly permanently, the router. In this case the AX3000 V2 has some different hardware (processor, 2.5GB port, etc.) and features than the the AX3000 version.

If you try and install an incompatible firmware through the "normal" methods it will be rejected. However, if you bypass these checks and try and write the firmware directly to the flash memory you could indeed end up with a brick.

Hi, I'm in the same situation, the behaviour of device doesn't have the stability of wrtmerlin. How many months will be required by developers to support this router?
Thank you

Welcome to the forums @cansado2930.

It may never be supported. Just a single developer doing this on his spare time.

Greetings,
This router , v2 version dropped to 80€ in Slovenia.

And since it's a broacom do you think it could get support in the future ? let's say 2024 ?

It has excellent price of 80€ for 2401Mbit/s on 5Ghz WiFi6 and has a 2.5Gbit port which is very very nice for 80€

Thanks.

The lower the price the lower the chances for 3rd party firmware support. Low-end devices are even more disposable hardware. Asus themselves may drop support quickly for the bunch of RT-AX58U V1/V2 variants they generated for marketing reasons. Some of them like GS-AX3000 had no firmware update for >8 months. @GNUton with his Asuswrt-Merlin fork is you best chance for this device. Post a question there, see what happens.
