JaiRo - Open Source Router Project

For anyone that is interested in the way router software is developing you might want to take a look at the JaiRo Kick Starter project.

I have used Sabai's VPN accelerator which runs on a Foxconn mini PC with a fast processor and 2 Gigs of memory. Given how well Sabai's modified Tomato software runs on my E3000 router with the VPN accelerator attached I have kicked in some money to fund Sabai's next project.

If it is funded and the development works out it would be exciting to have a router that wasn't limited by a slow processor and very limited memory. And being that it will be open source if will also be interesting to see what applications that developers can come up with.
