Hi
I just upgraded my Inet FTTH with a 5Gbit symmetrical line and decided to proceed with some changes. BTW I do have a static IP...a must for me.
From my ONT/GPON/media converter I have CAT 8 running to a Linux box running Zentynal OS [Linux] which handles all the routing, firewall, IDS, GW, and server duties. It's muxh like ClearOS [which is another Linux based solution I could use].
The Zentynal box has (4) 10Gbit NIC's in it with one (1) of them dedicated to the WAN side. I would like two NIC's (LAN I & LAN II) on 2 different subnets: the fourth NIC will be unused for now.
LAN II will route to my Asus GT-AX11000 WiFi router which will be used in pure AP mode along with the 1GB LAN ports it has.
I only use the thing for my phone and WiFi calling & Inet . Laptops are always Asus wired [force of habit]. I always assign a static IP to each device that accesses the Inet via a white list.
Until a few things arrive, my question is (for now) about setting up 2 sublets via the AX11000 - as if I were not using the Zentynal box. Is this possible? I have the 'amtm' scripts installed.
I just need someone to point me to a howto or guide on using two subs on the router.
My HP Color LaserJet MFP277dw would need to access both subnets as well. DTV sreaming would be via the Asus WiFi Router only because those pigtail modules don't have RJ 45 ports....da##it.
NO VPN needed. I use ExpressVPN.
Tnx

- NIC 1 - 217.XX.XX XX - WAN W/ Static IP
