I am using the latest 270 firmware. I have one lan port on the router connected, to a procurve switch. For some reason the router reports my TV connected to the lan port, in fact the TV is 2 switches away. is this a bug?

That's normal. The router's switch can only report the MAC of the very last device it received a packet from. So if that port is connected to a switch, then it's whatever device on that switch that sent a packet to the router. That's why the column is called "Last Device Seen" rather than "Connected device".
